Do you need a qualification in English or Maths?
We have a number of courses which offer you the chance to gain a nationally recognised qualification in Literacy and/or Numeracy. You can take a National Test at Level 1 (equivalent to a GCSE qualification at level D-G) or Level 2 (equivalent to a GCSE qualification at level A*-C).
Why take a National Test in Literacy or Numeracy?
- It's a free up-to-date qualification in English and/or Maths
- It will identify your strengths in each area and the skills you may need to develop
- It could fill the gap on your CV and could even lead to promotion at work
- It will increase your confidence and could be a stepping stone to gaining further qualifications
Our three day short courses involve taking an initial assessment to identify your strengths and the areas you may need to brush up on. You will get the chance to complete a number of practice tests in preparation for taking the test on the last day, alongside tutor support. Both the initial assessment and the tests are computer based, allowing you work at a pace you feel comfortable with. The test takes an hour to complete for Literacy and an hour and 15 minutes for Numeracy, your result is available on the day.
