Module StructureThe "Good Web Design" course is wholly concerned with the use of ICT to effect clear and effective communication. What makes some web sites attractive and easy to use and other sites really difficult to use? This web creation module focuses on the fusion of clear writing and design styles for the web; appropriate graphics formats for the web will also be examined. The primary goal of our work is to enable clear and efficient communication between people. The legal aspects of web publication are crucially important and you will be expected to be aware of the relevant UK, European and international law on issues such as copyright. The module will require you to identify a range of "good practice" criteria for web site design and to use current software to develop your own test web site. Your ability to critically evaluate design techniques is a crucially important aspect of this module. Although the choice of web development software is not crucial, please note that the module is offered in two versions:
