College Governance

Welcome to the College governance section of the website which contains information about governance at the Northern College.

Included are details of the legal status and framework, the constitution and membership and key documents. You can also access the approved minutes of past meetings and details of how to contact the Clerk to the Governors.

The Board of Governors is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the College, approving its annual estimates of income and expenditure, setting its quality strategy, reviewing its educational mission and character, ensuring the effective and efficient use of resources, safeguarding its assets and ensuring its continuing solvency.

Mr Bob Harrison and Mr Clive Macdonald are Co-Chairs of the Board of Governors and Cllr Ken Richardson is Vice Chair.

Non-members are welcome to attend the Annual General Meeting held in December each year as observers. Members of the public wishing to attend should inform the Clerk to the Governors prior to the meeting.
