We provide additional support to students who may require this as a result of a learning difficulty, disability or health condition.

You will need to tell us if you have additional needs when you apply. We will then ask you for further details about your diagnosis or condition, as well as any medical or assessment evidence you may have. Next, our learning support team will assess the information and evidence you provide and look at putting place the required support.

This support may include recommendations to your tutor, adapted learning materials, assistive technology and training on how to use this, in-class support or one-to-one out of class support.

We aim to provide individually tailored support to help you overcome barriers, build resilience and meet targets in order to become more independent.

Mental health and wellbeing

We are committed to supporting its students to feel well both mentally and physically.  Sometimes it can be difficult to stay focussed on your college work and remain positive, so the college has a range of activities to support mental health and wellbeing.  As a student it is important that you tell us if you’re experience difficulties so we can help you get the very best student experience whilst studying with us.

To find out more about additional learning support including mental health, please contact the Additional Learning Support (ALS) team via  You can also use the NHS website to find contact details for a wide range of mental health charities, organisations and support groups.

We have a multi-faith room, with far reaching beautiful views across the National Trust gardens and parkland.  The multi-faith room can be used for prayer or quiet contemplation for those with no faith. The college also has a number of chaplains who can support students in pastor care, prayer or as a listening ear. The room and Chaplain Service can be used by all students regardless of faith background.
