Northern College offers over fifteen conference and meeting spaces for hire. The largest of these seats 75 in a theatre style layout and the majority of spaces can be configured to suit your requirements, ensuring an inspiring and successful event.
After capturing the nation’s imagination on the BBC TV series ‘Restoration’, this is one of the largest restoration projects in the country.
Now thanks to the Wentworth Castle Trust, who restored the buildings and landscape, we are able to offer a superb conference centre to businesses and organisations, along with residential, single en-suite accommodation.
Built in the 18th Century, The Arched Barn provides seminar facilities for 25 people on the ground floor and residential accommodation on the first floor.
Built in the 18th Century, The Long Barn accommodates Wentworth Castle Trust's cafeteria and shop on the ground floor and additional refreshments and workshop/seminar facilities on the first floor.
Built in the 19th Century, St James’ Hall has been restored with the original exterior and within has an auditorium capable of seating 80 delegates theatre style.
Built in the 18th Century, The Dairy has been restored for use as a workshop which can be used for drama, craft making etc or as a break-out room. It has a large wooden floor with a small carpeted area.
Wentworth Castle dates back to the 18th Century and many of the conference and meeting spaces enjoy spectacular views over historical gardens and parkland.
Of early Georgian design, The Queen Anne Suite offers a superb ambience for use as training workshops.
The Old Library is a large oak panelled room with doors leading out into the gardens. This was the original library and still houses many books.
Within the Main House, The Dining Room has impressive ceilings, paintings and gilded columns and can seat up to 100 people in banquet style.

These are available for daily hire. Each room contains a set of computers that can be utilised for your needs.
A prestigious function suite finely decorated in blue and gold, has its own private bar and dance floor, making it an ideal venue for all kinds of receptions and functions.
Within the magnificent Long Gallery in the Main House, the Library and Learning Support Centre combines a coveted traditional library atmosphere with state-of-the-art information technology infrastructure. The Library is situated at the front of the Main House, overlooking the parkland, spanning the whole of the Baroque wing. Well worth a visit if only to see the splendour of this magnificent room.
Experienced librarians and the technical support staff are available to provide help and advice. The LLSC is available to every student/delegate who attends a course or event.
