Course description

On this course you will learn more about the risks posed to computer, the laws and regulations governing ethical computer use, and practical approaches to protecting computer systems

Course content

The course is a mix of discussion, research tasks, practical tasks, and report writing.

What can this course lead to?

As well as providing a recognised qualification on the subject, this course could also lead on to further qualifications in the Cyber Security field as well as further digital courses at Northern College.

What are the entry requirements?

Students will need to have completed the Cyber Security (Level 1) course in order to join this course. They will also need to have completed the Next Steps with Computers course, or already have digital skills equivalent to those listed in that course’s description. Students will need to be working at Level 1 or above in Literacy.
