The Functional Skills qualifications are based around skills needed for everyday life and to enable you to have the flexibility to problem solve using these skills. On this course, you will learn reading, writing, speaking and listening skills at the standards for Level 2. The skills at this level form a platform for learners to develop skills for further academic study at Level 3 and above, and are also skills valued by employers.
This fast-track intensive course provides an opportunity for you to work to achieve this qualification in a very short space of time and does require a high level of commitment to study.
What can this course lead to?
Functional Skills qualifications at Level 2 may be required to access Level 3 programmes of study, and are now often accepted at universities to access Higher Education qualifications.
This qualification is also valued in the jobs market.
