* This course is fully funded for eligible students.

If you are not eligible, the cost of the course is £25.00. If you choose to stay residentially, and you are not eligible via the residential funding assessment, there will be an additional fee to pay. The vast majority of students are eligible to study and stay residentially for free and we will confirm when you apply.

Course description

Have you always been interested in the health and social care sector; but were never sure where to start or what route to take? Then this course is for you. It will explore the various routes within the sector, including progression opportunities. You will be introduced to the wide variety of health and social care settings; including the types of diverse individuals that may use each service.

What can this course lead to?

This course will support you to progress onto further short courses and a range of qualifications, including the Level 1 Award in Introduction to Health, Social Care and Children’s and Young People’s Settings.  Our Student Support Services team will work with you to design a personalised learning journey based on your needs and aspirations.
