No formal qualifications are required to study this course. A willingness to learn is essential.

How much does this cost?

FREE*

* This course is fully funded for eligible students.

If you are not eligible, the cost of the course is £25.00. If you choose to stay residentially, and you are not eligible via the residential funding assessment, there will be an additional fee to pay. The vast majority of students are eligible to study and stay residentially for free and we will confirm when you apply.

Course description

If you have a Smartphone, you are probably familiar with using Apps for anything from checking the weather forecast to online banking. How would you like to learn to create Apps, maybe for your own business, or an organisation that you volunteer with? You might even want to get a job in this field.

This introductory course will teach you the basic skills you need. You will learn about:

App software
How to design and create an App
How to test, run and evaluate your App.

This course is great fun, and you will improve your digital skills at the same time.
