Course description

This course will guide you through the basics of Education. Whether you are interested working in Schools, Colleges or in the community this course will provide you with a basic knowledge and understanding of learning, safeguarding and supporting learners. 

You will work with your tutor and others in your group and by the end of the course, you will be able to discuss what contributions you can make to education either in a voluntary or paid role.

  • Safeguarding
  • Mentoring in Education

Course session dates

The course starts on Thursday 15th September and will run until Friday 4th November.

You will be required to attend college Thursday and Friday of each week for 6 weeks in total.

Course fees and funding support


* This course is fully funded for eligible students.

If you are not eligible, the cost of the course is £242.50. If you choose to stay residentially, and you are not eligible via the residential funding assessment, there will be an additional fee to pay. The vast majority of students are eligible to study and stay residentially for free and we will confirm when you apply.
