Course description

This is a fun outdoor day for anyone who wants to improve their wellbeing and learn about how contributing to your community can help you to do that.

This is an interactive group-based day to introduce you to both Northern College and studying in an adult environment.

You will start to explore how becoming active in your community can enhance wellbeing.

This will be delivered outdoors (weather permitting).

What can this course lead to?

The course leads onto our Introduction to Community Wellbeing course or any other Introduction courses here at Northern College.

Possible careers include community and charity work.

Course fees and funding support

You may be eligible to study for free if you are unemployed, on certain benefits, or earn £18,525 a year or less (£19,305 for residents in West Yorkshire Combined Authority). We can confirm when you apply or contact our Student Support Services team to learn more.
