Course description

Should we care? Does it matter what I think or do? Should we leave politics to the ‘experts’? In this course we will think about how politics (big and small) impacts upon our daily lives and the world around us. We will consider what we understand by the terms left, right or centre, where people ‘sit’ on the political spectrum and consider the problems of values and perspectives.

What can this course lead to?

This course is beneficial for those who have been out of education or work for some time and are looking to gain new knowledge and skills. You could progress on to further short courses within Social Sciences to explore the links between politics and sociology/criminology. Our Student Support Services team will work with you to design a personalised learning journey based on your needs and aspirations.
