If you are not eligible, the cost of the course is £150.00. If you choose to stay residentially, and you are not eligible via the residential funding assessment, there will be an additional fee to pay. The vast majority of students are eligible to study and stay residentially for free and we will confirm when you apply.

Course description

This course will introduce you to the Adult Social Care sector and explore the roles and responsibilities of an Adult Social Care Worker. It will also focus on the skills and attitudes needed to work in Adult Social Care, and the values and principles that underpin working in this sector. This course would be suitable for individuals looking to progress into employment or further learning opportunities around health and social care.

On completion of this course, you will achieve:

NCFE Level 1 Award in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care

This course could lead to progress onto courses for a range of careers, including in adult social care or as a support worker.
