Reading between the Lines – the role of the Media

Have you ever wondered how the media affects our lives? On this 2 day course, you will begin to explore who controls the media, how different groups, such as people with disabilities, are represented in the media and the impact of these representations on individuals and the rest of society.

This course will introduce you to the subject of the media and will support you to progress on to further short courses and gain qualifications, such as Exploring Social Inequality and Understanding Society.
