Course description

Do you want to volunteer but don’t know how to get started? Are you new to volunteering and would like to learn more?

This course aims to prepare you for a role within a voluntary organisation.

It will help you to:

understand the role of a volunteer within a voluntary organisation
understand the activities of voluntary organisations
identify the skills required to be a successful volunteer
understand the regulatory frameworks that may apply to being a volunteer.

This course is a perfect progression course from any of our community entry level courses.

On completion of this course you will achieve NCFE Level 1 Award in Volunteering.

What can this course lead to?

Other level 1 courses you can do are:

Interpersonal Skills (Level 1)
Investigating Enterprise (Level 1)
Essential Digital Skills Entry/Level 1.

Possible careers include volunteering.

When does this start and end?

At the moment we have no available dates for this course. We will be updating them throughout the year, check back or submit and enquiry to be added to a waiting list.

What are the entry requirements?

No formal qualifications are required. However, we do recommend you access one of our Introduction or Exploring entry level courses before you access this course if you have been out of education for some time.
