Clare joined the Board of Governors in Summer 2021. She has over twenty years experience in Human Resources, Leadership and Learning & Development gained in various organisations from local authority, private sector and the charity sector.
Clare spent many years working as a HR Consultant, but now works as an Associate Director for the University of Sheffield Students’ Union. Prior to working in HR, Clare began her career as an EFL teacher working overseas and also at Leeds Beckett University. Her main interests lie in the development of People Strategy, embedding Equality, Inclusion and Diversity into every day working practices and creating positive and empowering work culture.
Clare is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. She is a graduate of the University of Leicester with a degree in French Studies. She has a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources Management.
