Course description

This introductory course is designed to help You build a clear understanding of addiction and the different factors that can influence it. Throughout the course, You will explore the types of addiction people may experience and the range of treatments, care approaches and support available.

The course also highlights why education and awareness are essential in improving addiction treatment and relapse prevention, both nationally and within local communities. You will gain valuable insight into how individuals can be supported throughout your recovery journey.

This course is ideal for anyone who works with, or may come into contact with, people affected by addiction, including those in healthcare, social care, childcare, education or housing settings.

You must be able to attend every session in order to successfully complete this qualification.
