Course description

The Access to Higher Education Diploma in Criminology and Criminal Justice is a Level 3 qualification which will prepare you for studying at university. This qualification will give you the relevant academic subject knowledge needed for higher education study, as well as a range of study skills that will effectively prepare you for higher education. You will have the opportunity to study subjects such as:

  • Theoretical Approaches to Crime
  • Law and Morality
  • Psychology: Aggression
  • Psychological Profiling
  • The Court and Legal System
  • Values, Diversity and Inclusion

BA (Hons) Criminology and Criminal Justice: a degree course for those interested in a career in criminal justice or related organisations
BSc (Hons) Psychology and Criminology: a degree course for those considering in working in health related or supporting services linked to the criminal justice system.

Potential future careers include but are not limited to Law, Police, Probation Services, Criminology Tutor, Solicitor, Court Clerk and Prison Officer.
