Course description
This course is aimed at people seeking employment or possibly people wanting a change in career direction. The course explores the vast range of service provisions and possible career/employment opportunities within Health and Social Care along with exploring any misconceptions of working in this sector. Students will also be able to evaluate their own transferable skills and the benefits of volunteering (especially for those who may have been out of work for long periods).
What can this course lead to?
After completion of the course students could feel confident to apply for a role within adult health and social care sector, whether this be in a volunteering capacity or paid employment.
Alternatively, students could continue to develop their understanding and skillset by enrolling onto relevant courses to further support their career pathway in the sector.
Students will be encouraged to explore their progression routes and to record goals and targets to support this.
