Course description

On this course, we will be exploring the ways in which we communicate, and we will evaluate how we can improve the effectiveness of our communication.

Course content

On this course we will work independently and within groups to focus upon:

The difference between formal and informal communication.
Improving the communication that we have with family and friends
Exploring appropriacy and accuracy within written
How to interact with others during a discussion

What can this course lead to?

Progression to: Functional Skills English (with an offer of Entry Level 3, Level 1 or Level 2)

‘Interview and Presentation Skills’ and ‘Writing a CV and Covering Letter’.

What are the entry requirements?

No formal qualifications are required.

Most jobs require you to have Level 2 in English and Maths. These qualifications are important in jobs that are most employable in the South and West Yorkshire Regions such as Education and Health and Social Care sector.
