Course description
This is an initial course to explore some of the theoretical aspects of counselling practice. This includes an introduction to Person Centred and Cognitive Behavioural practice. The role of theory is essential to developing a secure understanding of talking therapies.
What can this course lead to?
This course will introduce you to the underpinning ideas within counselling practice and will support you to progress on to further short courses including Exploring Counselling and Helping Skills. As your knowledge deepens and your study skills develop you could progress to qualifications such as the Level 2 Award in Counselling Concepts.
