Northern College works with adults who want to return to learning to upskill and progress, get a new job or make a career change. Learn with like-minded adults in the beautiful, tranquil settings of Northern College, South Yorkshire.
You can view the full course programme here: New courses for 2021-22 – Northern College
Applications are being taken now and throughout January 2022 for our Level 2 and 3 Access to Higher Education programme, Business and Enterprise and Counselling courses, alongside our wider provision.
Bus service and student discount
From Monday 10 January 2021, the service will run Monday to Saturday each week for students and members of the public. The bus starts its journey at Stand 14 at Barnsley Interchange.
Northern College students will receive a discounted rate of just £1 each way. Look out for the Northern College logo.
The bus will be fully air conditioned with USB sockets and reclining coach-style seating for your comfort. You can pay your fare by cash or contactless.
Timetable designed to support your studies
The bus goes to and from Barnsley Interchange. The timetable is designed to align with our course times and is published at the end of this short news article.
Yultan Mellor, Principal and Chief Executive, explains:
“We are delighted to announce this new partnership with South Pennine Community Transport to launch our new bus service next year.
“This discounted bus service will bring students right into our campus for the first time. The timetable is designed with students in mind, to sit alongside our course timetable, and will bring you directly to our front door.
“This will benefit many of our students who use public transport to come to college, making travel much easier for them at times to suit. It will also support students applying for our new courses from January 2022.”
