Course description
The objective of the Gateway Qualifications Level 1 Counselling Skills Award is to give you an introduction to Counselling Skills in preparation for further learning or training.
The development of listening skills will also support you to develop skills need in daily life and at work for example in the field of health and social care.
What can this course lead to?
Course progression
Upon completion, you could progress onto a further course, including:
- This course could lead to progression to Level 2 helping courses such as counselling or peer mentoring. To progress to Level 2 students will require good IT skills (as all Level 2 courses are completed digitally) and a Level 2 qualification in English.
